Birds in Ramanagaram

It is home of many critical birds like:

 Long-billed Vulture, Egyptian vulture,

Yellow-throated bulbul. Most of the vultures habitat can be also seen around the mountain. The State government has declared 346.14 hectares in Ramanagaram as Ramadevarabetta Vulture Sanctuary, to protect long-billed vultures, which are on the verge of extinction. Once, Ramanagaram had highest no. of Long-billed Vulture's and now a days the numbers has decreased. And one more speciality of Ramadevarabatta

is no crow's can be spotted there.
